Gourds

My friend, Shauna, was taking a gourd class, through the Sun Lakes Rock and Gem Club, and encouraged me to join.  I enrolled in the beginners class and loved it.  Using burrs, drills, blades, scoopers, and paints were my cup of tea. 
 
I learned that gourds really take on a life of their own.  Once you begin, you never know how things will turn out.  Love this medium!

People might ask, "What do you do with a gourd?"  Just about anything from birdhouses to musical instruments.
